An Audio Bible on the Internet
It is now possible to read the entire audio Bible on the
Internet. Audio-Bible is the complete King James Version
narrated by Alexander Scourby. Total listening time is more
than seventy-two hours.
A link "for the visually impaired" presents the user with a menu of all the books of the Bible. Selecting a book brings up a menu of chapters in that book. Selecting a chapter begins the narration.
To listen to Audio-Bible on the Internet, a user must be running Windows. In addition, a browser capable of playing the RealAudio format is required or the free RealAudio player must be installed. RealAudio software is available from: http://www.real.com.
Audio-Bible's website is: http://www.audio-bible.com.
PLEASE, if you are returning a machine for any reason, phone our toll-free number, 1-800-242-8822, first. Then, if you are requesting a replacement machine, we can mail it out at once, without waiting for the old one to arrive. This will lesson your time without a playback machine.
As of July 1, 1999, your Braille books will no longer come from Chicago. We have contracted with the Regional Library in Utah to provide Braille book service. If you have been an active Braille borrower, you should have received by now a letter from the Utah Regional Library about this change. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to phone us locally at 286-3045 or toll-free 1-800-242-8822.
As you do your spring housecleaning, please return any Braille, disc or cassette books you have read, or are not interested in reading. The Regional Library has limited copies of each title. Returning them will make them available to other readers, give you more space in your home, and you will be sent new books to read. Our loan period is two months for cassette, Braille, or disc titles, and one week for audio-described video cassettes.
